Admin Security

Three methods of security are supported:-

  1. Internal role-based security, available on all version of Infomaxim.
  2. Group and User rights applied content types (tables) or items
  3. Application rights which can be used to restrict rights to pages and content

1.1 Purpose

Only Administrators can restrict access and manage rights to data and functions.

1.2 Primary Roles

The primary role is set in Admin > Users.

The available roles and associated rights:-

  • System (10)
    • All Admin Tools
      • Create/edit content types
      • Create/edit fields
    • Accounts / Groups / Users
    • Rollback/History, View, Edit, Delete, Expire and Publish
    • Reports Builder
    • All Reports
  • Administrator (9)
    • Accounts / Groups / Users
    • Report Builder
    • All Reports
  • Account Manager (8)
    • Rollback/History, View, Edit, Delete, Expire and Publish
    • Users
    • Account Reports
    • Website Reports
  • Author (7)
    • Rollback/History, View, Edit, Delete, Expire and Publish
    • Website Reports
  • Reviewer (2)
    • View and Edit
  • Guest (1)
    • View Only

1.3.2 Application Rights

Each main menu item of the application may be restricted by users or groups. Licensing restrictions may also impact the Application Rights of a user or organisation.
